Some people pray in church,

Some on the high mountains,

Some next to the deep waters,

For me it’s the garden.

intuition

Folk medicine is all about intuition. It’s about connecting to the spirit of the plant and using it with the highest intention, wisdom and respect.

I won’t harvest plants if I don’t feel my best, or if my thoughts feel clouded or scattered. I owe this to the plants, and I owe it to people that will use my remedies in the future.

I created these remedies to awaken people to nature’s wisdom. I created them wishing for union - where Western medicine and herbalism work together.

folk

As a child growing up in Poland, I spent countless hours outdoors collecting wild foods & plants for making home remedies with my mother. Seeing how nature can both feed and heal our bodies sparked incredible joy in me.

I grew up in a small town, and the villages were right around the corner. Milk straight from the cow, rides on the top of the hay, nighttime fires listening to elders telling stories… I truly believe this is where my love for plants began.

We didn’t have much, we didn’t have fancy cars, materialistic wealth. Most families grew their own food, there was milk, cheese and meat provided by their own animals. Kids were free, learning the true connection between Mother Earth and people. This was simplicity, hard work and love for food, animals and everything else that was surrounding us.

new world

I brought all that I learned in Poland here to the United States with me.

When I came to this country I didn’t know its culture or language. What really saved me in those hard moments was the work in the garden. I turned to my plants.

Native Southwestern Folk Medicine is inspiring and refreshing. The old wisdom still exists here, in these mountains. I feel blessed to create my remedies with the knowledge of my people, and to live where awareness of folk medicine is deeply ingrained in people’s hearts of this land.

purest quality

I love plants. I love growing them from the seed, tending to them, getting to know them before harvesting. This is the priority of my love for the medicine.

However, there is another reason why I started to make my own healing remedies.

I wanted to know exactly how the medicine is made, what it’s cooked in, what ingredients are used throughout the whole process.

I started A Rosa because I want full control and transparency over what I’m putting into my body. Starting with germinating the seeds, to how I grow my plants, to when to harvest and process, to the highest quality organic oils & alcohols, and storing only in glass containers.

“Medicine plants heal more than the physical body.
They help open our hearts, reconnect us with Spirit, and guide us in developing respectful and joyful relationships with the natural world.”
